Shelburne Sings 150

Are you Canadian? Are you familiar with the melody and words of the Canadian National Anthem? Have you ever sung the song along with a group? Are you a human being?

If you answered yes to any of those questions then the following post is for you.

Calling all singers. And I mean ALL singers from Shelburne and surrounding areas to participate in a 150 voice, multi-generational choir. We’ve got a spot to perform the anthem (and another song or two) during Shelburne’s Canada 150 Celebrations.

For this initiative, I’ll be playing the roles of choir director and coordinator. The goal is to pull 150 voices together to teach and direct them in a beautiful a cappella version of O Canada arranged by Deke Sharon a musician who served as music director and arranger for the film Pitch Perfect (and a whole bunch of other really cool & notable projects). We’re also slated to perform two other well known Can-Con tunes a la Choir Choir Choir.

You don’t want to miss out on this opportunity to sing with your community for your community. You’ll meet some new faces, make new friends and hopefully, you’ll bring some of your friends along too to join the chorus. AND, you’ll get a commemorative Shelburne Sings 150 t-shirt.

Rehearsals are set for Tuesdays in June at Trinity United Church in Shelburne, ON (200 Owen Sound St)

Soprano & Alto Voices ONLY –  June 6, 2017 @ 7-9pm

Tenor & Bass Voices ONLY – June 13, 2017 @ 7-9pm

Full Choir (ALL VOICES) –  June 20 & 27 @ 7-9pm

Be sure to visit us on Facebook @Shelburne Sings because the more we get together the happier we’ll be.
